How to book the KNM exam

You book the KNM exam with DUO, on Mijn Inburgering. You log in with DigiD and choose the date and place yourself. Book in time: according to DUO it can take more than six weeks before you can take the exam.

Step by step

• First check on Mijn Inburgering which exams you have to take. This depends on the law you integrate under: the Civic Integration Act 2013 or 2021.
• Log in to Mijn Inburgering with DigiD.
• Choose the KNM exam, and choose the date and the place.
• You get a confirmation by email and by letter.
• One week before the exam DUO sends you a letter with the place, date and time.

Cannot log in?

No DigiD, or logging in does not work? Then you can book with the DUO form "Aanmelding inburgeringsexamen". Within three weeks after you have paid, you get a letter with the place, date and time.

Changing the date or cancelling

Cannot make it? Change the date or place on Mijn Inburgering. You can do this until one week before the exam. If you cancel at least one week before, you get your money back.

The result

You get the result of the KNM exam within eight weeks by letter. You can also see it on Mijn Inburgering.
